I'm exhausted but exuberant as I write this. Asolo Rep had a thrilling experience last night....approximately 450 people turned out for the reading here, and our "Night for Non-Violence" community expo before the show was a rousing success. After, about 100 stayed to watch the Lincoln Center Q+A. Overall, there was a tremendous feeling of hope and uplift about the evening, and the theatre was buzzing with an energy I've rarely seen. I can't count how many people came up to me or one of my colleagues as they were leaving the theatre and simply said "thank you, thank you for doing this...thank you for bringing it here to Sarasota."
*Our* thanks to Tectonic for making all of this possible.
On Thursday, October 1, Asolo Rep's Producing Artistic Director, Michael Donald Edwards, who is also directing our production of the reading, was interviewed by Amy Tardif on WGCU out of Fort Myers. It was a wonderful, half hour interview with call in questions from listeners. An audio link to the interview is available at:

This link will take you to the audio archive for the program Gulf Coast Live, and currently Michael's interview is at the top of the page. Click on the "Listen Audio" button to hear the program.
